Immediate triage, diagnosis and treatment in our Emergency Department. Acute intervention including clot-dissolving drugs (tPA), if appropriate. Inpatient care with specially trained nurses, dieticians, pharmacists and rehab specialists. A comprehensive approach to rehabilitation from our inpatient rehab unit to our outpatient physical, occupational and speech therapies. Case management to guide patients and families in choosing the most appropriate care setting. Community outreach and education including stroke awareness programs, health risk appraisals and screenings.
